Our speaker will be Craig Chapman, Executive Director & Co-Founder of "Elpis, The Center for IoT Security".  Elpis, The Center for IoT Security, is a 501(c) 6 non-profit formed to provide a single voice for legislative advocacy, aggregated information resources and data analytics, and influence for results-driven collaboration that improve the security, resilience and sustainability in an IoT-enabled society. History has proven that we accomplish much more, at a faster pace, more efficiently, when we work together. "Elpis" members are better informed, better connected, more efficient and better prepared for the future.

As Executive Director, Craig crystallizes the vision of the Advisory Board and is responsible for turning mission objectives into measurable outcomes and benefits for members. With over two decades of experience in business strategy, risk management, cybersecurity, disruptive technologies, and critical infrastructure protection, much of it involving building awareness and collaborating on solutions between private and public sector interests. Those experiences have provided the foundation for using a risk-based approach where innovative ideas lead to watershed successes for addressing complex problems including the cybersecurity threat to society.

Craig has enjoyed a career of assisting innovators of technology and services in strategizing to establish and build market value. Some noteworthy industry names include WebTrends, Veritas Software, and most recently ServiceNow. A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University in Business & Risk Management, Craig's interests outside of "Elpis" are focused on family, sports, community, travel, and assisting former military to prosper.
